Ministers

Rev. Keyven Lewis was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Franklin D. Roosevelt high school and attended Prairie View A&M University, where he studied Computer Science with minors in Mathematics and Naval Science. After his freshman year, he left Prairie View to join the U.S. Navy to fulfill his desire to serve in an enlisted role before pursuing a commission as a naval officer. During his recruit training, Rev. Lewis obtained the Navy League Award given to the most outstanding recruit during naval boot camp.

Opting not to pursue a career as a commissioned officer in the US Navy in his senior year, Rev. Lewis went to work for Texas Instruments were he worked for five years. That afforded him the opportunity to work internationally in many foreign countries, including France, Italy, Japan, and Germany (visited Austria).

In 2011, he created The Keyven Lewis Foundation which is a non-profit 501c3 organization whose mission is to help others eliminate and/or avoid accruing personal debt while building wealth at all stages of life.

Rev Lewis was ordained to minister the gospel in June 2013 at New Beginning Covenant Ministry (NBCM) church where he was immediately appointed one of two assistant pastors. At New Beginning Covenant Ministry he served in a number of capacities, including serving as the organization’s Board of Directors President, Chief Financial Officer, and member of the Praise and Worship team. He also served as a sound equipment technician, a Sunday School Teacher, and a Bible Study Teacher and Coordinator.

Rev. Lewis currently serves on the Cedar Hill Education Foundation (CHEF) board serving as VP of Community Outreach and Marketing and is a member of the Desoto ISD T-STEM Advisory Board. He has successfully obtained degrees in Information Technology (Bachelors) and Business Administration (Masters).

Personally, Rev. Lewis is a member of Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity and the proud parent of Keyven Lewis II.
